Everything in one place

Nine pieces that work together — an honest evaluation of where your student stands, a plan for what’s next, and the opportunities, courses, and colleges that actually fit.

Six milestones, one clear path

VillageEd® maps the journey from where a student is to where they want to go — one meaningful milestone at a time. Every step builds on the last.

VillageEd Planning Components
Milestone One · Where You Stand

Profile Insights

See how your profile reads across the four dimensions colleges actually evaluate. Not a score — an honest picture of where you are now.

I
VillageEd Profile Signals
Milestone Two · Know What to Do

Action Plan

Goals broken into specific tasks, each task broken into the exact steps to take — including the people to email, the forms to fill, the websites to check. Not a checklist. A guided path your student can actually follow.

Discover Opportunities

Surface internships, summer programs, volunteer roles, and competitions — the experiences most students never hear about until it’s too late.

Our Story
We built this because we needed it

We’re parents navigating the U.S. high school system for the first time — and it hit us fast. The anxiety, the burnout, the sheer volume of things our kids are expected to manage. Courses, clubs, test prep, summer programs, essays, applications — all while trying to stay motivated and mentally healthy.

What surprised us most wasn’t the workload. It was the pressure — from peers, from social media, from well-meaning adults — to do everything, be everything, all at once. And the realization that most families, including ours, were making decisions with incomplete information and unclear priorities.

We built VillageEd® because we wanted something that didn’t exist: a clear, honest picture of where our kids actually stand — and a plan that tells them what to focus on next, so they can stop guessing and start building with confidence.

What’s included

The full path.

All six milestones — Profile Insights, Action Plan, Discover Opportunities, Course Planner, College Discovery, and Profile Builder. Nothing held back behind a higher tier.

A plan that spans high school.

Your student’s action plan extends all the way through 12th grade. The current semester is expanded into specific tasks for right now — while the full arc stays visible as their north star, so every action connects to where they’re headed. Each task is broken down into the specific steps, contacts, and resources your student needs to complete it — not a vague directive, but a guided path they can actually follow.

Monthly refreshes, when they matter.

Each module can be refreshed once a month to incorporate new grades, activities, or shifting goals. Refreshes are meaningful — a fresh analysis, not a casual click. Browsing what’s already there is always unlimited.

Opportunity matching, all year.

Internships, summer programs, competitions, and volunteer roles surfaced for your student’s profile — not a generic feed everyone else is seeing.

Every update, included.

New features, new opportunity sources, new colleges in the database — all part of the subscription.

Private by design.

Encrypted, never sold, never used for advertising. Students can stay anonymous.

One student, one year, one clear path forward.

§ Frequently Asked Questions

Questions parents ask

Does VillageEd® work for students in all U.S. states?

+

That’s the goal. VillageEd® is built to work for high school students across the U.S. Course names and graduation requirements vary by state and district, but the dimensions that matter — academic rigor, extracurricular depth, leadership, and narrative — are universal. Your student’s plan will be personalized to their profile, not a template.

Does VillageEd® support both public and private high schools?

+

At launch, VillageEd® is built for students at public high schools across the U.S. Support for private high schools is coming shortly — we’re actively expanding to cover the additional course structures, graduation pathways, and academic frameworks that private schools use. If your student is at a private school and you’d like to be notified when support is available, just let us know.

My student is already a junior. Is it too late?

+

Not at all. VillageEd® is especially useful for juniors and seniors, when decisions carry the most weight. It meets your student where they are and builds a plan from today forward — not from where they “should have” started.

Is this a replacement for our school counselor?

+

No — and we don’t want to be. School counselors bring judgment, relationships, and advocacy that no software can replace. VillageEd® is designed to extend their reach — handling the planning, tracking, and opportunity-matching that counselors don’t have time for with 400+ students on their caseload. A complement, not a substitute.

What information does my student need to provide?

+

Just the basics — courses, grades, activities, interests, and goals. Students can use a nickname and we encourage stripping any uploaded documents of personal identifiers. We’ll only need academic and activity details to build the plan. No legal name, date of birth, or sensitive information required.

How is my student’s data protected?

+

Privacy is foundational to how VillageEd® is built. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, securely hosted, and never sold, shared, or used for advertising. Students can remain anonymous. See our Privacy Policy for details.

My student doesn’t know what they want yet. Can VillageEd® still help?

+

Absolutely — we expect that to be one of the most common starting points. VillageEd® won’t require your student to have a direction. It’s designed to surface what’s out there, build a profile from what they’re already doing, and let patterns emerge naturally. Clarity comes from action, not from having all the answers upfront.

Does VillageEd® help my student choose a major?

+

No — and we think that’s the wrong question for high school. VillageEd® helps your student build a strong, well-rounded profile regardless of where they end up. When interests shift or a direction becomes clear, the plan adapts. We don’t ask students to decide their future at 15. We help them build toward it.

Does VillageEd® guarantee college admission?

+

No — and no one honestly can. VillageEd® will provide guidance based on publicly available data and best practices, not guarantees. Our goal is to help students build the strongest version of their profile and find schools that genuinely fit. Admissions decisions are ultimately made by colleges, and no tool can promise a specific outcome.

How much does VillageEd® cost?

+

$499 per year, per student — roughly $42 a month, billed annually. That covers full access to all six milestones, monthly refreshes across each module, and every update we ship during the year. No tiers, no add-ons, no premium upsell.

What does “monthly refresh” mean?

+

Browsing your student’s plan, opportunities, and college list is always unlimited. Refreshes are different — each one runs a fresh analysis tailored to your student’s current profile, so each module has a monthly refresh available when something meaningful has changed (new grades, new activities, shifting goals). The intent is to make every refresh a real moment of recalibration, not a button to mash.

How far ahead does the action plan look?

+

The plan itself spans through 12th grade — but only the current semester’s tasks are surfaced at any time. We’ve found that one focused semester beats a vague four-year roadmap every time. As your student progresses, the next semester’s actions come into view.
